OK so about a month ago I was at a funeral of a family friend. Me and my parents used to go camping with this couple in the summer time and the wife is who passed away. There girls are doing very good in there life and it was nice to see them. I don't think I had seen either of them since high school and we used to have fun when we were little girls. But this really is not what my blog is about. After the small prayer service my parents and I were going to give our condolences to the husband and this is what he said to me.
G; I am proud of you
ME: Your proud of me??? Why??
G: Because your a grandma aren't you
ME: Yes but why does that make you proud of me?
G: Because you are the hottest grandma in our town
Me: Just laughed and thanked him.
Now I know he was just trying to compliment me but that I thought was just the funniest thing to have the husband who just lost his wife say. He is a really nice guy and kind of like a father figure but I just thought it was funny.

Funny! You didn't tell about your being hit on at a funeral too, LOL! That makes two of us, even if this guy wasn't really hitting on you, lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your story. Dealing with a death in the family can be difficult. Attending funerals of friends and approaching the family can be hard.
